Houseplants Year-round: This month's edition of Northern Gardening

This is the time of year when gardeners get distracted with planning their perennial gardens, adding trees , shrubs and fruits to their outdoor landscape, and starting seedlings for their vegetable gardens.  Houseplants usually get neglected just when they should also be getting repotted, restarted, and rejuvenated.

With that in mind, "Houseplants Year-round" was the topic for the April edition of WTIP's Northern Gardening program.  Hosts Diane Booth and Joan Farnam welcomed Lisa Eldred Steinkopf, ‘The Houseplant Guru,' to the program. She's not only known for her online presence, but has just written a book, “Houseplants:  The Complete Guide to Choosing, Growing and Caring for Indoor Plants.”  Lisa is also the proud owner of over 1,000 houseplants in her home and sunroom.

Northern Gardening is a locally produced program on WTIP, airing the second Thursday of the month from 7 to 8 p.m., and is rebroadcast the following Saturday from 6 to 7 a.m. Archived editions of the program are available on our website, to listen to anytime.
