Friday Cook County AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA Meetings

There are regular AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA meetings in Cook County and the complete weekly schedule of meetings is on our website under the Ongoing Events menu.
On Fridays, there's an "As Bill Sees It" Discussion Group Open Meeting, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.
 

North Country Crafters Bazaar

As part of the annual "Holidays in Schroeder" event, the North Country Crafters Bazaar will be held at the Schroeder Town Hall on Saturday, November 23 from 10 am to 2 pm.  A selection of hand-crafted items will be available to purchase, and coffee and goodies will be offered as well.

The Cross River Heritage Center will have a number of offerings as part of the annual "Holidays in Schroeder" event on Saturday, November 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., including Krumkake and Lefse demonstrations, a "make and take" card activity, gifts available for sale in their gift shop, and a quilt raffle.

In addition, The Grace Notes (the trio of Karen Obinger, Sherrie Lindskog and Martha Marnocha), will perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

North Shore Storm Boys Hockey Season Opener

The North Shore Storm boys hockey team 2019/2020 season opener versus Wadena is Saturday, November 23, at the Lake County Arena in Two Harbors. The Junior Varsity team plays at noon, followed by the varsity team at 2 p.m. All Cook County ISD 166 students and Lake Superior ISD 381 students get into the game at a reduced admission of $1.00 (with student ID).

AEOA Rural Rides (ongoing)

Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) sponsors Rural Rides, a program for those experiencing transportation difficulties. Rural Rides may be able to offer bus passes at no charge, volunteer drivers, or work buddy mileage reimbursement. More information is available from Anna Palo at 218-735-6849.

Social Drop-in Group

The Healthy Living adult social drop-in group meets every Monday at 1:30 pm at The Hub (formerly the Senior Center).  The meetings include snacks, games, and tips on healthy living.  More information at 387-2660.

Monday Cook County AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA Meetings

There are regular meetings of AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA in Cook County and you can find a complete schedule of those meetings on our website, under the Ongoing Events menu.

Every Monday, in Grand Marais, there's a CoDependents Anonymous meeting at 5:30 p.m. and an Al-Anon meeting at 7 p.m., both

at the First Congregational Church; and at 7 p.m. there's an AA Open Meeting at the Senior Center.

Dance

A dance night with a DJ mix of club, techno, ethnic, funk soul, and pop will be held at the Cook County Community Center Log Cabin on Monday, November 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Everyone is welcome, no experience or partner is needed.
