Grand Marais Al-Anon meetings

Weekly Grand Marais Al-Anon meetings are every Monday evening at 7:00 pm at the First Congregational Church, located at 300 West 2nd Street in Grand Marais. These meetings will be hybrid-style, either in person or over Zoom.

Happy Hikers

Farmers Market in Silver Bay

 The Finland Food Chain hosts a Farmers Market in Silver Bay with local produce from farmers and craft vendors.
The market will be held every Saturday from 9-1 pm, at the empty lot next to the North Shore adventure park in Silver Bay. 

Story Hour with the Muffin Man

Drury Lane Books hosts Kevin the Muffin Man for story hour each Saturday at 11 am through August. The Muffin Man will read a collection of books to kids and families outside the bookstore (weather permitting). More details at 387-3370.

Stars of the North Music Festival

The Grand Marais Music Collaborative hosts the Stars of the North Music festival in Harbor Park on Saturday July 31st beginning at 11:00 AM and continuing through 10:00 PM. This annual fundraising concert will feature many cornerstone local musicians and of course the Stars of the North Students! This event will be live webcast and there will be fundraising efforts along the way to help cover the costs of our programs which include paying for music lessons for area youth taught by talented local instructors. The GMMC is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that exists to serve the local music community specifically by creating opportunities for musicians and students, thereby benefiting education, the local arts community, the economy as a whole, and the general well-being of our entire community. Here is the current lineup of exceptional local talent:

Grand Marais Harbor History Tour

Cook County Historical Museum

Join the Cook County Historical Museum at 1 pm every Saturday for a Grand Marais Harbor History Tour, weather permitting.
The guided walking tour begins at the Museum and goes to the Coast Guard station, telling the stories of the harbor and community, while viewing relics of the past. All are welcome.

The museum is located at 8 S. Broadway Ave. More information at 218-387-2883.
