Fingerstyle Masters Weekend

Started in 2011, thanks to local musician and WTIP supporter Gordon Thorne, the Fingerstyle Masters Weekend takes place in April at Bluefin Bay in Tofte. The event includes concerts both Friday and Saturday night - each year a new regional musician is featured, along with Gordon Thorne and other friends - as well as workshops on Saturday. Stay tuned for information about the 2018 event!

About the 2017 Fingerstyle Masters Weekend:
WTIP North Shore Community Radio and Bluefin Bay Resort in Tofte hosted the 7th Annual Fingerstyle Masters Weekend April 21 and 22, 2017. Local musician Gordon Thorne welcomed Nashville guitarist Richard Smith and Twin Cities fiddler Tom Schaefer. The weekend featured performances both Friday and Saturday night, as well as guitar and fiddle workshops during the day Saturday.
Everyone is welcome to attend any or all of the events as part of the Fingerstyle Masters Weekend. Funding for this event is supported in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, and proceeds from the event support WTIP's programming.
