Vikings baseball team brings home the Lake Superior Cup

The Cook County Vikings baseball team won a pair of games on Saturday, April 29th in Silver Bay. The Vikings defeated Cherry in the first game of the split-team doubleheader.

A group of ISD 166 students enrolled in Spanish at the local school attended a language camp at Concordia Language Villages near Bemidji from April 20-23.


Turkeys spotted on the North Shore

Photographer Thomas Spence had an unusual visitor to his Tofte yard. After Spence posted a photo of a wild turkey on his Facebook page, multiple other sightings of the birds were reported.
