Volunteering at WTIP is a great way to give back to the community. WTIP is a non-profit community radio station, and everything we do is for our listeners. By volunteering at WTIP, you will help bring a valuable service to the community.
Volunteering can be quick and easy. There are many ways to help that don’t require a large time commitment.
WTIP is worth the time invested. Our volunteers see the importance of their work reflected back every day as listeners tune in to the community service.
Volunteering is a great way to get involved, it’s a great way to gain new experience, and it’s fun!
What sort of time commitment is required to volunteer at WTIP?
Give a little or give a lot – it all means a lot to us.
The amount of time you invest is really up to you. We suggest giving it a try and seeing what fits well for you in your life.
What sort of volunteer opportunities are there?
There is a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available at WTIP.
You bring the talent and enthusiasm, we’ll provide the training, and together we’ll keep the great community asset thriving!
Sports – anything from calling in scores to live broadcasts.
Writing – anything from writing daily public service announcements to occasional articles.
Research – anything from researching your favorite musicians to researching historical events.
News and public affairs – anything from being a volunteer news reporter to providing commentaries on local and regional issues.
On-air hosts – anything from several on-air hours per week to occasional fill-in spots.
Office – anything from data entry to distributing flyers.
Out-of-area - Not convenient to come to the station? We could still use your help!
Technical – anything from setting up remote broadcasts to editing sound clips.
Fundraising – anything from marketing to answering phones during membership drives.
Special events – anything from helping to organize an event to bringing a WTIP presence to events.
Other – Bring us your ideas!
