Bringing Out the Best of Ourselves--Touchstone Award Nominee!

The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation (DSACF) announced that the WTIP Community Radio series, Bringing Out the Best of Ourselves, is among the nominees for the 2018 Touchstone Award. The award recognizes leadership in generosity, promoting civic engagement and encouraging inclusiveness.
Bringing Out the Best of Ourselves is a four-part podcast series exploring how we can strengthen our communities and organizations, by delving into the question, “How do we come together as a community around what matters most?” Host Marcia Hyatt interviews thought leaders to understand how we can strengthen our community. Topical segments include; an exploration into what it means to live deeply--to live a life of authenticity, presence and joy; a discussion centered around some of the simple, fun and rewarding things we can do to be innovative and nimble in times of rapid change; an exploration into the healing power of art and stories to celebrate kindness, care and respect from members of our small North Shore community. The series is funded in part by the Knight Fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation.

Watch the video by WDIO-WIRT television about Marcia's work on the series.

Touchstone award winners for inclusiveness and engagement will be announced at a luncheon on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the DECC Harbor Side Ballroom in Duluth.
