Locally-produced music program:
Sidetracks ~ Weekdays, 10:30 a.m. - Noon

Cathy Quinn

Cathy Quinn (a.k.a. The Mighty Quinn) is producing a new music show for WTIP! Tune in weekdays from 10:30 to Noon to hear a variety of genres from Americana, jazz, country, rock, R&B - you name it!

Sidetracks will also include new releases and up-and-coming artists! If you have a song you'd like to hear, send us an email (just click on Request a song in the left-hand column).

Even though Cathy is hiding out in Studio B spinning tunes, it doesn't mean she doesn't want to hear from you! Let us know your requests and what you think of the program.

Grand Portage ~ WTIP Recording Studio

WTIP, with the help of the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, has created a recording studio in the old log Community Building in Grand Portage.   The studio will provide a way to for more folks who live in Grand Portage to become involved with WTIP by eliminating the 80-mile (round trip) commute to Grand Marais.

WTIP plans to work closer with Grand Portage Elementary School as well as the Grand Portage Museum and the general community by making the station more accessible with the recording studio.   This is an important step in WTIP's efforts to help connect listeners and their communities.

Be sure to tune into First Nation's Time on Monday's at 4 p.m. to hear Lil Fisher bring the best of Native American music!
