Buck spoke Nov. 4 with Dana Fountain & Peter Gorman, two of the members of the Mountains 2 Montreal Expedition team. They recently paddled 4,500 km. from near Jasper, Alberta to Montreal in 22-foot canoe. They listened to WTIP in the Quetico, and traveled by boat and car to Grand Marais to pledge their support of the station.
Buck spoke Oct. 21 with Walt Hampton, mountaineer, executive coach, and adventure photographer, about his new book, "Journeys on the Edge: Living a Life That Matters," about seizing the moment and realizing your dreams.
Bob and Buck welcomed WTIP News & Public Affairs Director Barbara Jean Johnson to Studio A Oct. 14. BJ is an accomplished musician and recently won the Big Top Chautauqua Singer/Songwriter of the Year contest with her song, "The River." Bump Blomberg accompanied her on guitar.
Buck spoke Oct. 14 with birder, author and radio producer Laura Erickson. She has a new book, "Twelve Owls," which is illustrated by Betsy Bowen, and appeared in Grand Marais Oct. 15 for a book reading and signing.
Buck Benson & Dave Seaton welcomed pianist Brook Cuden and choreographer Andreas Denk to Studio A Oct. 7, a day before their first public performance of "Sophie and Concert," at the ACA in Grand Marais.
