This program officially starts the weekend along the North Shore and across the North Woods. Buck Benson, Bob Carter and producer Ann Possis provide two hours packed with insightful interviews, weekend happenings, local features and toe-tapping music. You never know quite what to expect on the Roadhouse!

Meet Ann Raiho & Natalie Warren, first women to paddle from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay

Ann Possis and Matthew Brown welcomed Ann Raiho and Natalie Warren of the Hudson Bay Bound Expedition to the studio Sept. 9. They just became the first women to paddle from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay, re-creating the journey made by Eric Sevareid and Walter Port, and documented in the classic book "Canoeing with the Cree."

Lake Superior Binational Forum to hold public meeting in Grand Marais Sept. 9--all are invited

Buck spoke Sept. 2 with Lissa Radke, U.S. Coordinator of the Lake Superior Binational Forum, which focuses on water quality and environmental health in the Lake Superior basin. They're holding a public meeting titled “Improving Water Quality and Sustainable Economies on the Minnesota North Shore ” in Grand Marais Friday, Sept. 9, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the ACA.
