The Grand Marais Public Library steps back in time this Friday with the help of the Minnesota Historical Society.  The library will be presenting a free history program on Virginia Mae Hope (1921-1944), World War II Women Airforce Service Pilot, at the Library on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 1:00 p.m.

The Minnesota History Center brings history alive with a variety of history players including female World War II fighter pilot, Virginia Mae Hope. Some people led ordinary lives, others accomplished extraordinary things, but all faced the challenges of their times in history as best they could. See Virginia Mae Hope as she engages you with her memorable life stories as a female World War II pilot.

Minnesota History Player Melissa Kneeland, who will be portraying Virginia May Hope,  spoke with WTIP's Ann Possis on North Shore Morning.
