Since 2001, Rainbow has volunteered for WTIP both on the air and off (helping with remote broadcasts, parades and many other events).  He claims that he tried to do Thirsty Boots, Remember When and Monday Night Mix once, but he didn't do too good, so now he comes in on occassion to do Polka Time and Classic Country.  He also claims that he's a man of few words (or is it no words)?  When asked for a favorite quote, he shares the following:  "My mother used to tell me that 'fools names and fools faces always appear in public places.'  When I look in the mirror, I have to agree with her."  About WTIP, he says "The listener-members are WTIP.  The volunteers and staff just operate the station for them."  Whatever Rainbow says, we don't know what we'd do without him!  The picture you see is Rainbow (on the right), with Michael Martin Murphy.
