More than 600 freshwater scientists from around the world will be in Duluth next week for a conference called “Big lakes, Big world.”
It’s the 54th International Conference on Great Lakes Research, being held in Duluth for the first time from May 30 through June 3 at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. In this interview, WTIP's Julie Carlson spoke with Dr. Stephanie Guildford, an associate professor at UMD’s Large Lakes Observatory, about the conference as well as some of the major issues facing the Great Lakes and other freshwater lakes around the world.
