Carah Thomas-This edition of WTIP's ongoing series, Behind the Work features Gladys Dockan, 83. Dockan is a lifetime resident of Cook County and has been doing hair and giving home permanents for more than half a century. She did hair at the Care Center in Grand Marais for nearly 20 years, helping residents look and feel better with a cut and a perm. In this Behind the Work, Gladys gives a home perm to another lifetime Cook County resident, Mildred Johnson, 89.
