Cook County and the North Shore have extraordinary winter sports venues and activities.

Lutsen Mountains ski area is open daily, with a total of 52 primary runs and 40 backcountry runs on four mountains served by seven chairlifts. Cook County Community Center, Grand Marais

The outdoor ice rink and warming house is open, weather depending:

Saturdays:  11 am to 7 pm
Sundays:  1 to 4:30 pm
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays:  3:30 to 7:00 pm
Days when school is not in session: 11:00 am to 7 pm

There is no charge for skating. Skate rental is available for a small fee.
Anyone interested in participating in broom ball on Sunday evenings, boot hockey on Tuesday evenings or adult pick-up hockey on Wednesday evenings is asked to contact Diane Booth at 387-3015.
