Oshki Ogimaag School has honored Veteran’s Day by teaching students about serving one’s community. Through a Day of Service, students will learn how to conduct a community service project by kicking off a local food drive. If you would like to donate, bins will be located at the Grand Portage Trading Post, Gene’s Foods, Johnson’s Big Dollar, and the Cook County Co-op. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted through November 24th. All contributions are appreciated, healthy contributions are encouraged! On November 25th, student volunteers will distribute the food at the Grand Portage Community Center from 3-6pm. Anybody is welcome to pick up food. Elders and people with disabilities may call 475-2112 and ask that a donation be delivered. With the help of the Grand Portage Elderly Nutrition Program, students and staff will deliver food bags within the Grand Portage Reservation.

Please call 218-475-2112 with questions.
