Artist Talks: Color and form

Friday Cook County AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA Meetings

There are regular AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA meetings in Cook County and the complete weekly schedule of meetings is on our website under the Ongoing Events menu.
On Fridays, there's an "As Bill Sees It" Discussion Group Open Meeting, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.
 

Waste Oil Drop-Off at Recycling Center Temporarily Suspended

The waste oil tank at the Recycling Center is full and temporarily not accepting any more waste oil until further notice.
The Recycling Center asks the public to hold on to waste oil and do not take it to the recycling center since their storage space is very limited. Contact the Cook County Solid Waste Office at 218-387-3630 with any questions.


 

Cook County Market

The Cook County Market opens every Saturday through mid-October from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weather permitting, in the Senior Center Parking lot. Story Hour with the Muffin Man

Lighthouse Point Guided Tour

Cook County Historical Society has guided tours of lighthouse point every Saturday throughout the summer beginning at 1 p.m. The tour begins at the museum and will walk out to the lighthouse breakwater with a museum tour guide. The guide will point out the visible relics of the past and tell the stories of this small harbor and community. The tour will last approximately one hour and are weather permitting. Children must be accompanied by an adult. More information at ​218-387-2883.

Writer's Salon with Margot Galt

Geology Walk

Chik-Wauk Open House

The Gunflint Trail Historical Society is celebrating the eighth anniversary of the Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center,  Sunday, July 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  There will an open house showing two new structures that have been added to the Chik-Wauk property, a timber framed structure that will become Chik-Wauk's Watercraft Exhibit Building and an Interpretive Cabin Exhibit Building. Every Monday, in Grand Marais, there's a CoDependents Anonymous meeting at 5:30 p.m. and an Al-Anon meeting at 7 p.m., both

at the First Congregational Church; and at 7 p.m. there's an AA Open Meeting at the Senior Center.
