Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count

The Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count for the Grand Marais area is Saturday, December 14th, through Tuesday, December 20th. All levels of birders are welcome. Count boundaries and more information are available from Jeremy, at 370-0733, or email sundew at boreal dot org.
 
 

Creating a More Walkable Community

The Cook County Chamber of Commerce and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic are sponsoring two workshops at Cook County Higher Ed, with presenter Jay Walljasper of Minneapolis. The workshops, “Creating a More Walkable Community,” are Thursday, December 15th from 5 to 8 pm, and Friday, December 16th from 9 am to noon. Refreshments will be served at both events. Art exhibition space available

Tettegouche State Park is offering exhibition space for art with a “North Woods Aesthetic” at the Visitor Center in 2017.
This is an open call for submissions, with work to be selected by a three-person jury. Artists should submit their work to                            kurt dot mead at state dot m n dot u s by December 31st.
