Parents’ Night Out

The Cook County YMCA sponsors Parents’ Night Out Saturday, December 10th,  from 5 to 8 pm. Activities are provided for children ages 4 months and up. Ruby’s Pantry is holding a food distribution Tuesday, December 13th, from 5 to 6:30 pm, at the Cook County High School cafeteria. Participants must bring coolers and grocery-sized containers to receive food. All are welcome. Volunteers are needed from 3:30 pm until distribution ends at 6:30 pm.

Tettegouche State Park is offering exhibition space for art with a “North Woods Aesthetic” at the Visitor Center in 2017.

Gunflint Mail Run sled dog race

The Gunflint Mail Run sled dog race will be held Saturday and Sunday, January 7th and 8th, 2017. There will be a minimum purse of $10,000. Volunteers are needed for road crossings, start and finish lines, vet checks, timing, and more.
