Cook County Senior Center Lunch Wednesday, October 18th

The Cook County Senior Center in Grand Marais serves lunch at noon on weekdays. Today's menu includes goulash, lettuce salad, pears, and milk. Reservations can be made by calling 387-2660 by 9:30 this morning.

 

Cook County AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA Meetings, Wednesday, October 18th

Wednesdays in Lutsen, there is an Al-Anon Family Support group meeting at the Lutsen Town Hall at 7 p.m.

The Grand Marais Playhouse is holding community workshops at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts with instructor Carrie Nath.

  • Thursday, October 19th, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. - Lovers, Poets and Madmen - Focuses on the power of the spoken workd through Shakespeare's most popular plays​
  • Sunday, October 22nd, from 2 to 4 p.m. -  Shake It Up Renaissance Style - Explores dance and customs of the court in 15th century England.

Moose Madness

Make homemade rope

Tettegouche State Park is offering a class on making homemade rope using natural fibers and salvaged materials.  The class is Saturday, October 21st, from 9.m. to 3 p.m. There is limited space in this hands-on program.
