Pre-school storytimes

The Grand Marais Public Library hosts Tuesday pre-school storytimes from 10:30 to 11:15 am, through February 28th. Storytimes will include songs and fingerplays.
...And...
The Library’s kids’ winter reading program, “Paul Bunyan’s Big Read,” also runs through February 28th. Program supplies can be picked up at the library. There will be a drawing for Audrey Wood’s book, The Bunyans.

Modern Western Square Dance lessons and dancing

Modern Western Square Dance lessons and dancing are held at the Cook County Community Center log building on Thursdays,  through April 15th, from 7:30 to 9 pm,. The dance is similar to traditional square dance, and no experience is needed for most of the lessons and you do not have to bring a partner. Senior Rides Program

Senior Rides Program needs volunteer drivers to provide rides for those 60 and older to out-of-county medical, dental, and eye appointments, to meet transportation needs not met by Arrowhead Transit or friends and relatives. Senior Rides also offers transportation within Cook County for medical appointments, as well as wellness and social activities. Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage and can choose their assignments. Father-Daughter Dance

Cook County Girl Scouts are holding a Father-Daughter Dance Tuesday, February 28th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts. Dads and other significant adults are welcome. Auditions for The Lion King Jr

Cook County Higher Education is hosting Steel & Aluminum welding and Oxy/Fuel torch welding with Don Hammer March 10 to 12 at the Cook County High School-Industrial Tech Room.This class is for people that have welding experience or has taken Don's 3-day class. The Cook County Chamber of Commerce, Cook County Schools, and the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino are hosting the Third Annual College and Job fair Thursday, March 23rd, at the high school gym. 10th Annual Radio Waves Music Festival
