The emerald ash borer is considered the most destructive forest pest ever seen in North America and to help educate the public about this insect, there will be workshops offered in Cook and Lake County. WTIP volunteer Marnie McMillan spoke with Laurel Wilson, Cook and Lake County Invasive Species Coordinator, on North Shore Morning.

The Invasives Team and the U of M Extension will host workshops on the emerald ash borer on Thursday, May 28, from 10 to noon at the Cook County Community Center -- and a second workshop on Thursday, June 4, from 9 to noon, at the Two Harbors Law Enforcement Center. For more information, contact Laurel at 218-387-3772.
